Within Biotechnology area, main contributions are: Multidisciplinary Design Optimisation (MDO), process modelling and simulation, tools for effective decision making and public engagement through the integration of knowledge and decision support frameworks (algorithms) and fostering of resource efficiency through digital systems.
Role in the project:
IDE develops the tasks concerning process conceptualization and optimization and basic engineering (WP5). Its specific tasks in this area are:
- Process optimized design
- Introduction of this methodology in the conceptual design step
- Development of the basic engineering of the process
